These terms are an agreement between you and TabetAI ("we", "us") for the use of the TabetAI app and its services. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.
TabetAI is in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed; data may occasionally be lost or reset; nutrition estimates and AI features may be inaccurate. The app is provided "as is", and during beta we may wipe or migrate server data with reasonable notice where practical.
TabetAI provides estimates of calories, macronutrients, and activity for general wellness tracking. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, dietary, or health advice. AI estimates can be wrong. Consult a qualified professional before making significant dietary changes, and do not use the app to manage a medical condition or an eating disorder.
You start with an anonymous account and may link an email to secure it. You are responsible for your credentials and for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region). We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or abuse the service.
"Content" means the meal photos, text descriptions, meal names, and related material you submit. You keep ownership of your Content. So the app can work — and so we can build better food-recognition technology — you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, and display your Content in order to:
This license survives deletion of individual Content or your account only to the extent the Content has already been incorporated into trained models or datasets distributed to third parties; otherwise deletion removes the Content from the live service and future training/dataset use. Health Connect data is not Content and is never licensed, sold, or trained on.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you submit, and you agree not to upload photos deliberately featuring identifiable people, children, documents, or other private information.
You agree not to: abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the service or its security measures (including Play Integrity and rate limits); use automated means to farm energy, TabeGems, missions, or leaderboards; harass other users through usernames, group names, or shared meals; or upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. We may remove content and restrict features to protect users and the service.
Energy, TabeGems, streak freezes, characters, and similar items are virtual features with no monetary value. They are a license, not property; they cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or refunded, and we may adjust balances, prices, and mechanics (including to fix abuse) at our discretion.
Meals you log while in a group are shared with that group (including a photo thumbnail when available). Friends can see your username. Don't join groups with people you don't want seeing your food diary entries.
The service depends on third parties (Anthropic for AI processing, Supabase for hosting, Google Play services). Their availability is outside our control, and their terms apply to their processing.
To the maximum extent permitted by law: the service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 10. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.
You can stop using TabetAI at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate the service or your access for breach of these terms, legal reasons, or discontinuation of the beta. Sections 4, 9, and 11 survive termination.
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be announced in-app, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Questions: support@tabetai.app.
